Walk and Roll Air Quality Art Contest Winners to be honored at December TCAG Board Meeting
The Walk and Roll Air Quality Art Contest was held for area students to send in their creative ideas for how to keep our region’s air clean. The contest was held from September to November 10th and coincided with National Walk and Roll Day on October 4th of this year.
The contest aims to get children and youth thinking creatively about ways to improve air quality by making clean transportation choices and awards the chosen winners with a brand new bike and helmet to take home. TCAG received many great and creative ideas about how we can improve air quality from our region’s students. There were five winners chosen for their art and are listed below.
Madeline Corso – Kindergarten, George McCann Memorial Catholic School – Visalia
Sawyer Sowers – Grade 4, Hurley Elementary – Visalia
Juan Torres – Grade 8, Washington Intermediate School – Dinuba
Jenna Agredano – Grade 10, Redwood High School – Visalia
Antonia Bonilla – Grade 12, Tulare Union High School- Tulare
The winners will be honored during a ceremony and luncheon on December 11th at the Tulare County Agriculture Auditorium, 4437 S. Laspina St. Tulare, CA 93274 during the TCAG Board meeting beginning at 11 A.M.
